For even more outdoor adventure, visit Minnehaha Falls Park for a picnic lunch in one of the oldest and most popular parks in Minneapolis. Stunning scenery at the park includes a 53-foot waterfall and limestone bluffs.

Get up close and personal with the flora and fauna at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in Saint Paul. From giraffes to reindeer, there’s a huge variety of animals on display. Be sure to take a ride on the carousel and stop by the gardens to check out the exotic plants. At Rice Park, a green space in historic downtown Saint Paul, you’ll find festivals, concerts, and other events, as well as ice skating in the winter.

Grand Avenue features some of the best restaurants in the area, as well as unique boutiques and relaxing spas. If the Minnesota Twins are in town, head to Target Field to catch a Major League Baseball game. At night, check out a live performance at Guthrie Theater or one of the three theaters that make up the Hennepin Theatre Trust. Other great places to take in the arts and culture of the Twin Cities include the Minnesota History Center and the Minnesota State Capitol.
